This is the first step in learning and playing baseball. The main objective is to have fun and learn the fundamentals - catching, throwing, hitting & base running. Only a tee is used for hitting. Only 6-8 players per team. Every player bats and plays the field. The inning is over after all players have batted. No strikeouts, outs recorded or scores kept. Coaches can elect to have players always be safe to teach base running. Parents are encouraged to be in the field to assist their child. All games played on Saturday mornings. As much as possible teams are formed by neighborhood or by coach request. |
